Founded in 2009, Bitsmedia is a Singaporean company specializing in the development of mobile applications. We build and publish our own app including Muslim Pro, the leading Islamic app in the world with more than 70 million users. Bitsmedia is headquartered in Singapore with offices in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Jakarta (Indonesia).

The Team:

Responsible for creating strategic campaigns and collaborations with brands and relevant key figures in order to elevate Muslim Pro content and nurture community engagement on the digital and social platforms.

The job includes, but is not limited to, the following scope:

  • Manage editorial calendar and content development across digital and social platforms 
  • Work with Editor-in-Chief to generate ideas and address gaps in existing content
  • Liaise with community specialists to formulate strategies for various markets around the world
  • Produce thematic campaigns and lead the execution of written, video and/or podcast projects
  • Provide ideation and output for client work including advertorials, paid listings and custom projects
  • Establish and maintain a strong network with content creators, key figures and thought leaders
  • Manage and oversee deliverables from freelance contributors including editing and reviewing work
  • Source for potential profiles, conduct research interviews and produce relevant content
  • Produce reports and analyse insights

Job requirements:

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Updated on faith-related global news and trends including lifestyle and spiritual practices
  • Solid writer with 3 to 5 years of experience in writing lifestyle or journalistic pieces
  • Great working knowledge of SEO keyword optimisation and web traffic tracking metrics and tools (SEMRush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console)
  • A creative and critical thinker with the ability to produce engaging ideas on how to connect different brands with a young and urban global audience
  • Digital native with a curious mindset
  • Ability to find story angles that bridge technology to faith
  • Strong interest in building a community through digital content
  • Experience with Content Management Systems, e.g., WordPress
  • Excellent grasp and understanding of SEO best practices
  • Experience doing research using multiple sources
  • Highest standard of accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Ability to work efficiently to meet tight deadlines
  • Responsive and strong interpersonal skills required for good teamwork in a virtual setting
