Job Summary

The Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing all financial operations and providing strategic financial guidance to the organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the financial health, stability, and growth of the company. The Head of Finance leads a team of finance professionals and collaborates closely with senior management to make informed decisions and drive financial success.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Financial Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
    • Prepare and present financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Capital Management: Optimize the company’s capital structure and manage cash flow to support growth initiatives while maintaining financial stability.
  • Financial Operations Management:
    • Manage and oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and treasury.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, legal regulations, and company policies.
    • Monitor cash flow, manage financial risks, and optimize working capital.
    • Implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial systems.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting:
    • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and support business growth.
    • Provide insights on financial trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support decision-making.
    • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and financial projections. Present financial performance to the executive team and board of directors
    • Liaise with auditors and oversee audit process of annual financial statements
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to develop accurate and achievable budgets.
    • Monitor and track budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
    • Develop financial forecasts and scenario analysis to support strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Others:
    • Tax and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations. Coordinate with external auditors, legal advisors, and tax authorities as needed.
    • Treasury Management: Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other stakeholders. Optimize investment strategies and oversee cash management
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
    • Ensure adequate staffing, resource allocation, and performance management within the finance department.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
  • Proven track record as a senior finance executive in a similar role within Technology, Media or Telecommunications
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficient in financial planning and budgeting software, as well as advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a finance team.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align financial strategies with overall organizational goals.
